The 11th annual Smoker and Last Man Standing event at Brasher’s Idaho Auto Auction was one for the record books, surpassing all other sales of the year. Held on June 23rd and 24th, the event encompassed two days of auction selling, 900 bidder badges, 2,000 consigned units and produced a new boxing champion who joins a prestigious list of past winners, including auction owner and general sales manager, Matt Brasher.
The 2010 Smoker Sale was highlighted by special guest and former Middleweight Champion of the World, Jermain “Bad Intentions” Taylor. Taylor was there to coach and encourage the contenders during Fight Night at Qwest Arena in downtown Boise. Fight fans enjoyed eight matches of excitement, suspense and even a few TKO’s. Last year’s champ, Matt Brasher, sat ringside and passed the championship belt to Joe Sandoval of Nampa Kia.
“This was the most successful Smoker we have seen,” said Doug Brasher. “To be able to say that in the current economic state speaks volumes to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved. We would like to thank all of our sponsors, participants, volunteers and especially our dealers. We are already looking forward to 2011,” said Brasher.
